Does the perfect real estate agent exist? Quick answer: Yes.
While many buyers and sellers have their own idea of the perfect agent, here’s how to find YOUR perfect agent:
All Agents are not Created Equal
Every agent has a certain amount of experience and education. If you want to sell your home, it is wise to interview more than one agent before signing the listing agreement. Ask the agent about his/her specific experience and education. How well does the agent know your town? Your specific neighborhood? Why does all this matter? Can’t any agent sell any home?
All this matters because an educated and experienced agent should know your neighborhood as well as its surrounding neighborhoods in order to gauge the current real estate market. The current market has a direct impact on the price you’ll get for your home.
My Perfect Real Estate Agent
The perfect real estate agent for you will know your entire area and know the intricacies of your home. Why is this important? Because the right agent takes the time to get to know you and your home–this enables the agent to market your home properly to prospective buyers within the appropriate price range.
Additionally, your real estate agent can not only sell your home, but he/she can help you buy your next home — this is the importance of forming and maintaining a good client/agent relationship–it is advantageous for both parties to create a win-win scenario. This is why so many people stay with the same agent for so many years. They know each other well, and the agent knows what his/her clients need throughout the years of selling and buying.
Additionally, many clients use the same agent to dabble in investing as well. Florida also is has a excellent second-home market which enables not only northerners to have a vacation home, but any current homeowner to look into investing/purchasing a home to rent out either year-round or during the winter season, which is quite popular throughout the state of Florida.
So, I challenge you to find your perfect real estate agent, and I welcome the opportunity to interview with you. My 40+ years of experience and education and my in-depth knowledge of Southwest Florida will work toward your advantage. Please contact me, and I look forward to meeting you.
