Originally constructed in 1973 and completely refurbished by Arthur Hills in 2004, this golf course is considered by many the premiere golfing venue in Southwest Florida. At 6,652 yards from its championship tees, the course offers a complete examination of a player’s skills, from the opening tee shot to the negotiation of the deeply bunkered 18th green. Along with the beautiful sights and a championship golf course, there is a complete practice area with an unlimited supply of free range balls.

The fully appointed Golf Shop is staffed with PGA professionals who arrange golf games, run weekly golf clinics and provide individual lessons.

The golf associations for ladies and men are very active, promoting friendly competitions, as well as helping new members make new friends. In the off-season, Wilderness members enjoy the opportunity to play on a give-and-take basis at most of the top local clubs.

TENNIS

The Wilderness tennis program, located in a beautiful wooded setting, is directed by the tennis professional, Spike Gonzales. He has been a USPTA certified tennis pro for 35 years and has developed thousands of players from beginners to professionals.

Spike is equally at home coaching children, current players, newcomers to the game and players returning to the game after a long absence. Spike’s belief is that tennis is a fun game and an enjoyable way of keeping fit.

FITNESS

Wilderness members and residents can enjoy a special rate at the prestigious Briggs Wellness Center located at 399 Ninth St. in Naples, a short distance from Wilderness Country Club.The Briggs Wellness Center is a 40,000 square foot facility and is considered to be one of the largest and best equipped fitness centers in Florida. The entire facility is Wi-fi enabled and there are two 50″ flat screens located in each of the locker rooms. Each locker room has 160 lockers and has multiple showers with whirlpool, sauna, and pool access. The pool is 25 meters long , 4 lanes wide, and is always heated to 84 degrees.

POOLS
